Tennessee Self-Defense: Police: Woman shot boyfriend to protect her children :: 07/17/2018

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) - A north Nashville woman told police she was forced to shoot her boyfriend after he attacked her children on Saturday night.

The shooting happened at an apartment complex on the 2400 block of Buena Vista Pike just before 11 p.m.

Police say the children corroborated the woman's complaint and had visible injuries.

The suspect fled after the shooting but later showed up at Skyline Medical Center with a non-life-threatening wound to his leg.

Police are still investigating the incident.
