Florida Self-Defense: Burglar shot by homeowner in Sunrise dies, police say :: 11/29/2016
SUNRISE, Fla. - A burglar was fatally shot Monday after breaking into someone's home in Sunrise, authorities said.
The burglary was reported at a home in the 4300 block of Northwest 103rd Terrace.
A view from Sky 10 showed a back sliding door smashed out.
Police said the suspect was taken to Broward Health Medical Center, where he later died.
Two other suspects fled the scene and were detained nearby, police said.
The suspects' identities have not been released.
Authorities have not said whether anyone inside the home was injured.
